With the efforts of the Hosseini (PBUH) Lovers’ Association and the Cultural Unit of Lar Higher Education Complex, a 40-member caravan consisting of students, faculty members, and staff was sent on a spiritual pilgrimage to the holy shrines of Iraq.

The aim of this program was to bring university members closer to the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH), guide them towards the right path, and promote a positive shift in the mindset of university students, especially the younger generation. Initially, Dr. Afroozeh, the rector of the complex, wished the pilgrims a fruitful spiritual journey, hoping it would help them in self-purification and elevate their understanding of the role and position of Imam Hussein (PBUH).

Following the collective salutations to Aba Abdullah al-Hussein (PBUH) and a chanting ceremony by Karbalaei Hamid Ejraei, the pilgrims were presented with gift packages and shawls. They were then escorted under the Holy Quran for a ceremonial farewell.

It is worth noting that, to ensure the convenience of students, part of the expenses for sending the caravan (under the shadow of the throne), which will visit the religious sites in the cities of Karbala, Najaf, Samarra, and Kazimayn in Iraq, was covered by benefactors and through long-term loan payments.

Dr. Sadegh Rahmani, a renowned poet, writer, and former director of Radio Farhang, visited Lar Higher Education Complex.

During this visit, which coincided with the “Imam Reza Thursdays” program, Dr. Rahmani, after touring the Imam Reza (PBUH) Dormitory and learning about the growth of the complex, met with the president and a number of the university’s administrators. He emphasized that every institution needs at least two key factors for success: internal cohesion and external coordination. He remarked, “The vitality and activity I witnessed during my first visit to this university demonstrate these two success factors, and I hope that with the continuation of these qualities and the ongoing efforts of the community, this university will reach its true goals and position.”

It is worth mentioning that Dr. Rahmani, a writer and poet from the city of Gerash, has published 14 books, including Pomegranate and Windcatcher, With These Ordinary Words, The Face of Larstan, A Detailed History of Larstan, and more.

On the occasion of Petrochemical Industry Day, a celebratory event was held with the presence of Dr. Khoshchin and Dr. Foroozesh, faculty members of the Chemical Engineering Department at Lar Higher Education Complex, Ms. Farjam, the Student and Cultural Affairs Manager, cultural experts, and a group of Chemical Engineering students in the complex’s auditorium.

After the recitation of the Quran and the national anthem, Dr. Khoshchin, the head of the Chemical Engineering Department and top researcher in Fars Province in 1403, delivered a speech about the history of the petrochemical industry and the value of petrochemical exports.

He further added, “The commemoration of Petrochemical Industry Day aims to encourage sustainable development and enhance production capacity in this industry, while also emphasizing the role of this industry in reducing dependency on imports and increasing exports.”

Other activities during the event included a competition, live music, and a video clip introducing the petrochemical industry.

At the end, participants took a group photo with a commemorative cake and were treated to refreshments.

With the support of Lar Higher Education Complex, three national conferences were held in the fall of 1403 at Esfarayen Higher Education Complex. These conferences included the 6th National Conference on New Achievements in Electrical, Computer, and Industrial Engineering; the 6th National Conference on Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Advanced Technologies; and the 6th National Conference on Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Industrial Safety.

It is noteworthy that a total of 710 papers were submitted to the secretariats of these three conferences, with 380 papers being accepted.

On the third day of the “Aine darân” poetry symposium at the spiritual space of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza, attended by poets and enthusiasts of religious poetry, Mr. Mohsen Fereidouni, a staff member of Lar Higher Education Complex, recited his poem.

This poetry night, featuring 25 poets from different provinces of the country, showcased the poets’ expressions of love and devotion to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) through the art of poetry.

Mr. Mohsen Fereidouni began by reciting a quatrain by the late Khalil Ro’ina, a renowned religious poet from Lar, and then continued by reciting his own composition dedicated to Imam Ali (PBUH) and Fatimah Zahra (PBUH). The text of the poems he recited is as follows:

“The product of sorrow you hold, O tear,
You hold respect before all, O tear,
Only God hears the sound of your song,
You have a wordless music, O tear.”

(Khalil Ro’ina)
